Two remaining phases of a city-wide walking trail drawn up by the Kennett City Council’s Street Committee were largely scrapped after residents expressed concerns over existing problems area.

A group of over two dozen people crowded the City Council Chamber Tuesday night for a public hearing before the Street Committee. A majority of people in the room spoke in favor of a petition signed by 53 people urging the committee against it’s plan for it’s next two phases of walking paths along Commercial Street, North Vandeventer Street and Floyd Street.
