Missouri High Priority List Resource Page
UPDATE: This project is now complete. View the complete list of projects as submitted and prioritized here. Many of these projects have now been planned, funded, are under construction, or completed. We continue to urge MoDOT and other responsible agencies and municipalities to move forward with projects on the list.
This page has information and resources for Local Working Groups who are compiling local lists of bicycle, pedestrian, and ADA projects for submission to the Missouri Priority List.
Local Working Group Timeline and Procedures
Creating project lists and scoring projects
- List of all project ideas submitted via the online submission form (Excel format).
- Template file for Local Working Groups' lists of projects (Excel format). You can use this template file to create your local list of project ideas (though in most cases it will be easier to start with the list of all project ideas submitted via the online form, above, and reduce that list down to the ideas from your own local area, then add any new ideas your Local Working Group may have.)
Project Scoring Matrix (also available here as a printable PDF file)- gives scoring criteria/guidelines for use by Local Working Groups in determining points to award projects in each of the five project scoring areas.
- Note: You can add columns as needed to the Excel files above, preferably before or after the existing columns, as long as you leave all existing columns in the sheet intact.
- Submit your Local Working Group's Project List via email to director@mobikefed.org by end of day March 5th, 2010.
General instructions for Local Working Groups
- Shorter slide presentation with specifics about Local Working Groups and procedures (PDF format, Powerpoint format)
- Guide to Local Implementation: Word document with all the details for Local Working Groups about identifying, prioritizing, and submitting projects
- Frequently asked questions--how to tell whether a road is a MoDOT road, what is the meaning of various deadlines, etc.
Final product
The final product of each Local Working Group, and the statewide list, will be Local Priority Project List with projects ranked (ie, projects ordered from best to worst) and with with each project scored in five areas with an overall score the average of all five areas.
The Priority List from each Local Working Group will be submitted in Excel format to director@mobikefed.org by March 5th, 2010.
The final product statewide will be a ranked and scored Missouri Priority Project List, combining all projects from Local Working Groups into one unified list.

Online project submission form
The online submission form is for members of the public to submit project ideas. These ideas will then go to the Local Working Groups to be polished, and (when added to other project ideas received through other means) scored and ranked with all other projects from your area.
