Please join hundreds of Missouri Bicyclists who have joined MoBikeFed this year

The Missouri Bicycle Federation has set ambitious goals for increasing membership and raising funds this year.
The reason this is so important is that MoBikeFed has made incredible progress in moving Missouri bicycle advocacy forward in the past couple of years.
But we have done it on a basis that is not sustainable in the long term.
We have been acting like--and being as effective as--an organization with 1000 members and an annual budget to match.
But our membership and our budget have been far, far smaller.
If we continue that way, MoBikeFed is in continual danger of collapse.
We have already collapsed once, in 2000, and we do not want that to happen again.
To be able to continue our powerful advocacy into the future, we need to put MoBikeFed on a more sustainable path.
To do that, our goal is to double our membership--adding 200 members--during May/June 2005, and to meet our fund-raising goal of $10,000 by the end of June, 2005.
This is what is needed to finish paying for our bicycle lobbyist, Jim Farrell, who was so effective this year in moving forward the first bicycle safety legislation in Missouri in ten years.
The good news is, thanks to help from MoBikeFed members and supporting organizations, we ARE reaching our goals!
And thank you all many times for your support!
