MoBikeFed board members to ride Katy Trail with "Speaker's Fitness Challenge" starting June 20th
Submitted by Brent Hugh on Sat, 06/18/2005 - 8:59pm
Several MoBikeFed board members will be joining the American Heart Association, the Missouri Dept. of Natural Resources, MoDOT, the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, the Missouri Dept. of Health and Senior Services, and other organizations who are participating in Missouri House Speaker Rod Jetton's cross-state Katy Trail ride, the "Speaker's Fitness Challenge".
The ride starts Monday, June 20th, 2005, in Clinton, MO, and ends June 26th in St. Charles, MO.
The complete schedule and itinerary is available here.
Please consider joining us for a morning or afternoon, a day or two, or the entire week.
Several Missouri legislators and other public officials will be riding for part or all of the ride or meeting us for events and meals along the way.
It will be a great opportunity to talk with public officials about bicycling in Missouri in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Pre-registration is suggested but not required.
The ride is free.
First 500 participants will receive free TShirts.
Ride staff will carry a dufflebag and a tent for each participant (on a space-available basis if you have not pre-registered).
