Bompart Ave in Webster Groves bicycle-friendlier thanks to TrailNet & STLBikeFed

Bob Foster reports:
Work on Bompart Ave. in Webster has been completed.Bob is on the board of the St. Louis Bicycle Federation and is former president of both St. Louis Bicycle Federation and the Missouri Bicycle Federation.
Trailnet and the St. Louis Bike Fed worked with EWGateway to ensure that the project kept the "bike facility" that was incorporated in the original proposal but later threatened with removal due to resident complaints.
Originally the project was planned with bike lanes, but advocates supported a compromise that has parking on one side of the road, wider shared lanes and signs that say "shared lane, yield to bikers."
