Springfield Bicycle Summit a success

Friday's Bicycle Summit in Springfield was a big success. The organizing committee was able to assemble an impressive slat of key decision makers from around the city and the region.

Those leaders brainstormed and put together their vision for what the city and the region needs to do to take bicycling to the next level.

Summit organizer Bruce Adib-Yazdi summarized the summit results:
The time has come. The stars are aligning. We held the Inaugural Ozarks Area Bicycle Summit which included key officials from city departments, Greene county highway department, MoDot, Health Department, Ozarks Transportation Organization, Ozark Greenways, Springbike, Missouri Bicycle Federation, and several other organizations. We had about 35 attendees, and Jim Anderson from the Chamber of Commerce kicked us off with a great keynote speech.
