Just in time for National Bike to Work Week, May 12-16, the Great Rivers Greenway District has announced the opening of 57 miles of additional on-street Bike St. Louis routes through St. Louis County and St. Louis City. With the expansion, the Bike St. Louis system now totals 77 miles of dedicated bike lanes and shared traffic lanes.

Join the ribbon cutting events on Thursday, May 8, 2008.
We will celebrate the new routes at:

* 10 a.m. in Maplewood in front of Schlafly Bottleworks, 7260 Southwest Avenue
* 11 a.m. in Clayton at MetroLink station, Central and Shaw Park Drive
* 12:30 p.m. in St. Louis City, intersection of St. Louis Ave. and Blair Ave. (½ block west of Crown Candy Kitchen).
