Today MoDOT Director Pete Rahn announced his is resignation effective April 24th.

Rahn has led MoDOT through a key period.  The agency has gone from one widely distrusted or even seen as incompetent--fairly or unfairly--to one that has received awards for its administration and management and seems to have the trust of Missouri citizens to a much greater degree.

So what's next for MoDOT?

The Missouri Highways & Transportation Commission has announced that it will name an interim director and begin a national search for his replacement.

Rahn will take a position with Kansas City-based HNTB Corporation, an engineering firm.

Coverage of the Rahn resignation is in the Globe Democrat, MissouriNet, and the St Louis Business Journal.
