Bicycle/Pedestrian Holidays Bill passes Missouri Senate

HB 1691, the bill to create Bike Month and Walk/Bike to School Month as permanent holidays on the Missouri state calendar, passed the Missouri Senate today.

The bill had a couple of minor amendments, so it will have to go back to the House for final passage. This should be a routine matter, with the only possible snag being if time runs out this close to end of session.

Thanks to Rep. Will Kraus of Lee's Summit, who sponsored the bill, and Senator David Pearce of Warrensburg who handled the bill in the Senate.
