- It's getting darker sooner--are you using your bike lights after dark and at dawn and dusk? 75% of U.S. cyclists don't--despite the fact that use of headlights and taillights rather dramatically cuts the injury rate after dark. Even daylight running lights have a surprisingly large effect--reducing reducing bicyclist injuries by a full 1/3 (read in original Danish).
