Hannibal cyclists organize ride in support of cross-country cyclist whose gear was stolen
Bicyclists in the Hannibal area are organizing a fund raising ride for Ty Robinson, the cross-country bicyclist whose touring bike and gear was stolen in Hannibal last week.
The ride is planned for 8:00am Monday, September 6th, 2010, starting at Java Jive, 211 North Main, Hannibal (map), with 66 mile and 108 mile options.
Ride organizer Martin Meyer requested that participants bring a donation of $10-$20 for Ty.
Ty also needs clothing and other gear for touring (Martin is donating a rack and panniers) and is still looking for a suitable 54 cm touring bike.
For more info about the ride, contact ride organizer Martin Meyer (msmeyer5 [at] sbcglobal.net).
If you'd like to make a donation in support of Ty, but can't make the ride, we have set up an online donation page to help him purchase needed gear.
