Tour of Kansas City races Aug 14-15, 2004

This weekend, August 14 & 15, 2004, is the 42nd Annual Tour of Kansas City bicycle racing series. This is the one chance each year to see top professional racers on the streets of Kansas City.
If you thought watching the Tour de France on TV was something, come out and try watching it live!
The events are circuit races and criteriums. Both of thse amount to riding many laps around a circular course, so spectators who pick a good vantage point can really see a lot of racing from one place.
Events Saturday are in the Cliff drive area. Races begin at 8:30 AM, concluding with the Pro 1/2 race starting at 2:30PM.
Sunday the races are in downtown Overland Park. Races begin at 8:00 AM and the last race (Pro 1/2) starts at 1PM.
Kids' races are at 11:30 each day. No registration fee is needed for the kids races but parents must register kids at least 20 minutes before the race starts.
