Vigil at one year anniversary of murder of bicyclist Robert Osborn

Robert Osborn's family organized a vigil on November 20th, the one-year anniversary of Robert's murder as he rode his bicycle home from work early in the morning.

Robert's family has spent considerable time and energy in the past year researching violent crime and developing and promoting a plan to reduce it in the city.

"If there is something good that comes out of Robert's death it is that we need citizens to become more involved in their community," said Robert's brother Rick.

The problem of violent attacks on bicyclists has come to the forefront in both Kansas City and St. Louis this year. The Osborns' research shows that there is far more our cities and citizens can do to reduce violent crime--other cities have been able to reduce violent crime quite dramatically.
