Bicycle/Pedestrian observances bill passes Missouri General Assembly!
Just in time for the start of National Bike Week next Monday, SB 180 the Bicycle & Pedestrian Holidays Bill is finally & truly passed--now it just need the Governor's signature! 
Description:
HCS/SB 180 - This act designates certain state recognized days, weeks and months.
The month of October shall be designated as "Walk & Bike to School Month," the first Wednesday of October as "Walk and Bike to School Day," the month of May as "Missouri Bicycle Month," the third Friday in May as "Bike to Work Day," and the week of Bike to Work Day as "Bike to Work Week
Note that the other holidays/observances mentioned on the bill page were passed in separate bills & stripped from the final version of SB 180. The final version of SB 180 passed today contains only the bicycle & pedestrian designations.
SB 180 was sponsored by Senator Will Kraus of Lee's Summit. The handler of the bill in the House was Rep. Noel Torpey of Lee's Summit.
