• Gov. Nixon receives Elected Official of the Year award from Missouri Park and Recreation Association - reasons for the award include Governor Nixon's support of state parks and outdoor recreation in Missouri
   
• Kirkwood woman charged in crash that killed bicyclist - "Prosecutors say Emily C. Hagan had been drinking and had a blood alcohol content that was more than three times the legal limit when she rear-ended and killed bicyclist Samuel Scott as he was riding home from a Dewey's Pizza shop where he worked".  This article is from last spring, but the trial is now underway--though with delay after delay.
